About Henk Emans
I grew up in
The Blue Mountains where I spent most of my primary years, although I was born a war baby in Bondi. Secondary school was started in Geelong and finished in several schools around Amsterdam. At 21 years of age I returned to Australia by myself.
I’ve worked for
Census and Stats Canberra (now ABS) as a graduate economist, then in banking for 20 years and since then in real estate for almost 20 years.
Crazy stuff I’ve done
- Taxi driving to get through uni
- Cycling around Europe
- Having a shark on a line in Cape York
- Working as a builders labourer
To have fun I
Relax by walking, reading, playing bridge or travelling.

- B.Comm and MBA both from the University of NSW
- Diploma in Real Estate from TAFE

I love Cronulla because
It keeps me close to the sea. The air is fresher, the Mall is unique and draws people to it like bees to a honey pot. There is never a dull moment in out patch.
