Situated 2km out of Cronulla, the new suburb of Greenhills Beach is proving to be very popular with over 1200 enquiries so far.

Some questions that need to be asked.

  • What impact will this new suburb have on traffic around North Cronulla area?
  • Will it increase or decrease the value of homes in nearby areas?
  • What impact on local schools can be expected?
  • How will development at Greenhills Beach affect the environment?

According to Australand, environmental factors have been taken into serious consideration. Along with the development they will be ensuring the rehabilitation of nearby Wanda sanddunes takes place. They will be planting new trees and plants natural to the area. As well as providing on-site storm-water management and providing new ponds for green and golden bell frogs.

Cronulla is proving to be a highly sought after area – and who wouldn’t want to live here! With stretches of beach, bush and unpolluted bays we are very luck to live somewhere so naturally beautiful. North Cronulla in particular, is definitely in for a shake up – what with Greenhills Beach plus the proposed $300 million dollar retail and residential development at Cronulla Sharks.

What are your thoughts on the new development? Do you think buyers will be coming from inside or outside of the Sutherland Shire?

as a local resident at cronula i can see how this development will improve cronulla, but also cronulla is already packed as it is. i think this development is pointless, yes there will be more sporting grounds and public recreational areas but with this new development it will just cause problems for cronulla. it is right next to kurnell which has the desalanation plant, caltex and the sewage plant. some of the things in your video are not even true, the way greenhills looks at the moment to what you compare it to looking like now, they are very different. im only 17 and i know that my opinion probally doesnt mean anything but i would just like to put in my 2 cents worth on how i would and wouldnt like cronulla.

Hi Beau, we love hearing your 2cents worth, your comments are well informed and I’m sure there are plenty that agree with u! Thanks for taking the time to comment. Do u follow us on ‘I love Cronulla’?

I am currently looking to purchase a lot at greenhills to develop a nice family home for my wife and I. my concern is the sewage plant, i have heard from friends that have worked up at kurnell and local people at north cronulla that the sewage smell is strong and quite pungent. having a bbq in the backyard at home in the summer will be pointless if there is a wafting smell of treated sewage in the air!.. does anyone else have thoughts or experience regarding this?
