Social Media Fights Big Business

by Kylie Emans on July 10, 2009

When Canadian musician David Carroll witnessed United Airlines baggage handlers throwing his guitar (worth $3500US) he knew it was going to be broken when he got off the plan. Months later and no compensation from United Airlines to repair the guitar he decided to write a song “United Breaks Guitars” about his experience.

United is now in discussions with him to make this right but not before half a million people have seen his song and “dance” on Youtube and major news networks in Canada and USA!

That is so funny. A classic David vs Goliath story… go David!!!! Social media might make it a little bit more of a fair fight.
