Sutherland Shire Spring Events

The weather is warming up, people are returning back to the beaches and there seems to be a little spring in everyone’s step. Spring is a great time to live in or visit the Shire and there are some great events to look forward to.

Cronulla Spring Fair/ Saturday 12th – Sunday 13th September

With over 100 market and food stalls, live bands and entertainment Spring Fair is a great family day out and a chance to shop til you drop.

Bundeena Art in The Park Festival/ Saturday 26th –  Sunday 27th September

For artists or art lovers this festival has artistic workshops, artist talks and exhibitions and plenty of market stalls. Catch the cute ferry over to Bundeena and watch the vibrant bush and beachside community come to life.

Caringbah Rotary Markets/ Sunday 27th September

New and used clothing, bric-a-brac, furniture, toys, crafts. You name it, Caringbah Markets has it! Held last Sunday of every month.

Bundeena & Maianbar Art Trail/ Sunday 4th October

Enjoy the fascinating experience of being allowed into artist’s homes and studios where you can discuss works with the artist, purchase pieces or simply gain inspiration. The Art Trail is a unique opportunity to see how art is created by some of the best artists in Australia, including Jia Wei Shen. Enjoy a delicious healthy wrap and a coffee at The Fringe Café afterwards.

The Jungle Book/ Tuesday 6th October

Musical show aimed at 4 – 12 year olds held at Sutherland Entertainment Centre. Tickets $18 each

World Masters Games/ Saturday 10th – Sunday 18th October

Held at Menai Indoor Sports Centre and free for spectators. Get down there to watch basketball teams from Canada, USA, Europe and Australia compete.

Plaza Popstars/  Monday 12th – Sunday 17th October

Held in Cronulla Plaza watch 5-21 year old up and coming musicians and dancers compete for first prize.

Gymea Jazz & Blues Markets/ Sunday 25th October

Arts and crafts markets with live music and wine & cheese tastings held in the grounds of Hazelhurst Art Centre.
