Cronulla Mall Report: March 2015

IMG_20150317_135440Our iconic Cronulla Mall has seen many changes during the first quarter of 2015 and we bet there’s more to come!

Starting from the northern end of the Mall, Paco Organico (formerly Bass & Flinders) has moved in. Firstech Computers below Cronulla Cinema’s still sits empty waiting to be leased while further down Flirty has also closed its doors as of yesterday…

2015-03-17_14.54.56_1Clothing store Code Orange is no longer and Wholesale Outlet has moved in. Another clothing store Lemon Jelly (formerly Velvet Jayne) is also closing down with 50-80% off storewide.

Surrounded by state election signs and campaigners, the iconic former Commonwealth Bank landmark is still for lease, when will any one ever move in?!

After no luck leasing the former Greenhills Australand office, it is now going to auction on 30th April, watch this space!

Get ready for next summer (or hopefully some warmer weather later this year) with 10-50% off all summer stock at Pure Sea surf shop.

2015-03-17_14.58.51Coming to the end of the Mall, the left side of Eclectic Home & Garden still sits empty…

Do you know of any other changes happening in the Mall or around Cronulla? Let us know!

Cronulla Mall Report: Back to beach weather!

IMG_20141031_124437What a day! October has almost ended and it feels like Summer already!

Firstly, if any one is looking for last minute Halloween costumes and accessories pop into Dollar King in the Mall, it has it all!

Fingers crossed the weather stays this wonderful for the weekend, especially with the Beachfest on at Dunningham Park, Peryman Square and the Plaza. Retro cars will be on display for judging and awards with live bands and solo performers over the two days.

Starting from the south, half of Eclectic Home & Garden sits empty waiting for a new shop owner.

IMAG1024We finally have a new tenant in the former Chocpad shop – Leah’s Wax Works has moved in! Further down the mall Classic Nails Beauty and Waxing has also moved into the former Body Pro Supplements store.

Unfortunately we’re still eagerly waiting to see who will eventually move into the old Australand Greenhills Beach office.

IMAG1029_1Forever Fashion are closing down with 50% of storewide. I wonder what new store will appear here?!

The optometrists near Code Orange are surrounded by builders and scaffolding, a new store layout perhaps?

Where la luna was on top end of mallNutrition station is opening soon where La Luna was and the local computer store next door to McDonalds and the Cronulla Cinemas entrance has also closed.

Closer to the beach new coffee shop Bianchini’s is doing a roaring trade, looks like a popular spot!

Cronulla Mall Report: Spring 2014

IMAG0684_1Welcome to Spring! So far we’ve had rain, wind and more rain, but we’re hoping for clear, sunny days next weekend for Cronulla’s annual Spring Festival! We heard The Flying Pig Collective will be here with the best pulled pork!

After bracing the cold, windy, drizzly weather today, we’re happy to announce there’s quite a few changes since our last report!

IMAG0659Walking to the Mall from the carpark, the first thing you’ll spot is the new Protein Bar in the corner, we’re yet to try it out but we’ve heard good things!

Once you’re in the Mall, you’ll notice a few updates:

  • The former Commonwealth Bank building is now a warehouse expo for a 14 day sale
  • Renovations near Code Orange
  • Kurrabar Cafe are hiring staff
  • Cronulla Pie Shop’s awning is still yet to be replaced
  • Australand’s Greenhills Beach shop is still vacant, feels like forever!
  • Body Pro Supplements store also for lease – sign says deposit has been taken, wonder what’s moving in here?!
  • Eclectic Home & Garden has split in two and word on the street is that a real estate franchise is moving in
  • The Lucky Dragon has new windows
  • Renovations near the southern newsagency (train station end)

IMAG0682Outside the Mall, Oporto has downsized to make room for new coffee shop Bianchini’s Espresso on the corner. They’re still working on the shop but hopefully it will open soon!

Next door, Balkan Restaurant is also renovating, plenty of changes to come!

Further down by the beach Simone’s on the Park still sits empty. We’d heard plans for a gym but no action has taken place. Hopefully someone will take advantage of the great location!

Leaving the Mall heading into the carpark you’ll notice the upgrades taking place in Croydon St carpark, hopefully this will ease traffic congestion!

Cronulla Mall Report: Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

photo 41With 2013 almost over, Christmas two days away and school holidays well under way, the Mall is busier than ever!

photo 2Starting at the south, Monro Park is bright and beautiful in colour while the former Peking Duck Chinese Restaurant has a new look and name – “Lucky Dragon”.

Sadly Chocpad has closed and the shop is now up For Lease.

photo 5Further north Yogurberry has opened, trading between 10:30am and 12am 7 days a week.

On the corner the iconic former Commonwealth Bank building is still up For Lease, will this space ever be occupied again?!

Code Orange has well and truly settled into the former Vodafone store.

photo 10The old Vinnies store on Gerrale St (which was For Lease) is now boarded up, any ideas what’s moving in here?

Renovations at Cronulla RSL have proved to be very popular attracted a very large audience over the weekend with queues lined up out the door! Opposite the RSL, Pilgrims Cronulla recently opened and are ready for business over the summer at their new location for those of you who aren’t heading down the South Coast!

photo 5 (2)On Elouera Rd, bright and colourful Old Joe’s has split Northies into two. Has anyone been here yet? Still yet to visit.

From all of us at Beach & Bay Realty, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year! See you in 2014!

Cronulla Mall Report: Mid-Spring Update

photo 1Clipper City on the Kingsway opened last week, we wish them all the best!

The old Vodafone store is finally occupied! Code Orange has moved in with a variety of clothing and accessories.

Kurrabar café (formerly Stonefish) next to Decisions Decisions opened today, has anyone tried it? Let us know what you think!

Dreamshack has a For Lease sign above it, any ideas what will take its place in the mall? Possibly another café, Mexican or Japanese restaurant?! The For Lease sign still sits behind the glass in the old Commonwealth Bank, still wondering what will happen to this iconic building?

photo 2“The Shire” local bank has opened up next to Mad Mex, does anyone know if this is the new name of the Sutherland Credit Union? Or a brand new bank?

Chocpad has re-opened but you have to get in fast on the busier nights or you’ll be left out in the cold! They seem to open later in the day now but stay open later at night for dessert.

Simone’s On The Park is still vacant overlooking South Cronulla. Rumours were that a gym was moving in but so far there has been no action…

photo 3Old Vinnies store on Gerrale St is covered with For Lease signs, hopefully another opportunity for a new business to open up.
